Roy W. Luongo is a distinguished cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience driving mission-critical security initiatives across public and private sectors. As the Chief Information Security Officer for the United States Secret Service, Roy oversees IT assurance and cybersecurity programs, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of security and operational efficiency. His career includes pivotal roles such as Director of the Joint Mission Operations Center for the Department of the Army, Cyber Operations Manager for the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms, and Director of Red Team operations at JPMorgan Chase. Roy’s expertise spans strategic planning, cyber offensive/defensive operations, risk management, incident response, and security operations, complemented by advanced certifications including CISO (Carnegie Mellon), CISSP, and multiple GIAC certifications.

Throughout his career, Roy has demonstrated a consistent ability to align cybersecurity strategies with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with frameworks like NIST, FISMA, and FedRamp, while building resilient security architectures and leading multi-tiered teams. His leadership has been instrumental in developing Security Operations Centers, implementing Red Team operations, and integrating advanced technologies to enhance organizational resilience and mission success.

Beyond his professional achievements, Roy is a dedicated family man. He has been married to his wife, Sara, for 23 years, and together they have two children and five grandchildren. Roy’s family serves as a source of inspiration and grounding, fueling his commitment to protecting the nation’s critical assets while fostering a legacy of excellence, integrity, and service in all aspects of his life.
