In addition to the information you are able to glean from published sources, many of your projects will need to use information and ideas from other people. If you are doing policy options analysis, you may need to talk with stakeholders in order to understand their concerns and expectations. If you are doing case studies, your interviews will typically cover what happened in the past. Whatever your topic, you will probably need to interview experts who are doing related work.
