Offering the nation’s leading homeland security practitioners a way to share their knowledge and skills, the Center for Homeland Defense and Security is launching ProPages, a new, individualized information hub designed to show how the CHDS community of experts has impacted government and the homeland security enterprise.
ProPages offers CHDS alumni, faculty, students, and staff the opportunity to highlight their career accomplishments, areas of expertise, projects, and research interests on a webpage that will be accessible to the public.
CHDS Strategic Communications Director Heather Hollingsworth Issvoran introduced ProPages during the Alumni Professional Exchange (APEX) Continuing Education Workshop on Feb. 21-23 at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, urging alumni, faculty, and staff to make use of the unique resource.
Hollingsworth Issvoran recently sent the following notice to CHDS alumni, faculty and staff:
Greetings CHDS Family!
ProPages is the latest initiative of CHDS to showcase the “so what” of graduate education. We are inviting you, our alumni, faculty, and staff to develop a page that is dedicated to the highlights of your career. The goal is to provide a place for homeland security academics and practitioners to collaborate and learn from one another by understanding the contributions of those who have participated in our programs.
CHDS ProPages is designed to be a clean, sophisticated place to highlight government/private sector research and collaboration, and to display our commitment to helping the homeland security community advance strategy and policy. While ProPages is not a social networking site, you may opt to link your social networks.
The focus of each page is on the research, projects, and accomplishments of CHDS graduates in public/private service. Note: If you are in the private sector, please highlight your knowledge, experience, and expertise rather than your business. For a good exemplar, see Ari Baranoff’s page. ProPages is not designed or intended to sell anything and CHDS reserves the right to edit any content.
How to Access ProPages
I will be happy to work with you if you have any questions and to help finalize your page.
Looking forward to working with you,
Heather
