Nudges from Abroad: Investigating American Vulnerability to Foreign Choice Architecture

Joshua Henson’s thesis, “Nudges from Abroad: Investigating American Vulnerability to Foreign Choice Architecture,” investigates the risks of foreign influence in American democratic processes through technology, particularly AI and data surveillance, which could enable “hypernudging” to manipulate beliefs and behaviors. He warns of AI’s potential to interfere with privacy and decision-making autonomy, and offers comprehensive solutions to combat these threats.
