Three Self-Study Courses on Irregular Warfare
In partnership with the Irregular Warfare Center (IWC), CHDS is pleased to announce three new courses in Irregular Warfare, now available in the Self-Study course catalog:
- Irregular Warfare (IW) 101 – An introduction to IW definitions, concepts, operations, and global trends.
- Irregular Warfare (IW) 201 – A deeper examination of IW as a tool of modern statecraft, featuring case studies on China, Russia, and Iran.
- Irregular Warfare (IW) 110: IW Approaches to Homeland Security and Defense – Explores the application of IW approaches to defend the homeland against hybrid threats, developed in coordination with USNORTHCOM.

This course offers a practical, actionable approach for conducting futures studies to identify emerging trends and risks relevant to the fields of homeland security, emergency management, and public safety.
This course provides detailed advice about the variety of insider threats and the measures that management should take to prevent and defeat them.
Human Trafficking and the Homeland Security Enterprise for Practitioners
This course examines victim traumatology, trauma-informed care, creating a multi-disciplinary anti-trafficking approach, and information sharing in order for practitioners to understand the human trafficking threat.
