  Levy Flights and Walks| view on web | Levy flights and walks are paths taken by animals and humans that qualify for the Casinos of Extremistan because they obey power laws. Professor Ted Lewis uses the spread of SARS and terrorism to illustrate Levy flights and walks, and show that epidemics and terrorism obey power laws just like any other normal accident of Extremistan. In this lecture, Dr. Lewis makes several surprising claims. For example, he suggests that terrorism is destined to die out, because of the shape of its power law.
