Addressing the Threat of Child Sex Trafficking: A Joint Meeting of IACP's Child Sex Trafficking Advisory Working Group and Fusion Center Stakeholders

CHDS/UAPI Faculty Development Workshop

Monterey CA, June 10-14, 2013. A five-day workshop for UAPI educational partners that will include presentations from CHDS faculty on their approaches to teaching core Homeland Security topics (including Introduction to HS, Intelligence, Technology, and Comparative HS). We also will have presentations from partner institutions on Border Security and Transnational issues. FCLP Curriculum Review

Monterey CA, April 3-5, 2013.  The objective of the FCLP Curriculum Review is to assess the program syllabus, agendas and target audience. A small group of subject matter experts and FCLP graduates will review the syllabus and learning objectives in detail, collaborate and recommend any changes or amendments necessary. Radiological Emergency Preparedness (REP) Executive Education

Monterey CA, February 11-15, 2013. The 5-day program fills a gap in the discipline’s training and education program that will strengthen the advancement of the radiological emergency preparedness program as well as its senior and emerging leaders. It is intended to provide for an educational opportunity and radiological emergency preparedness program enhancement that meets the immediate and long-term needs of leaders responsible for radiological emergency preparedness. Alumni Professional Exchange (APEX) Workshop

Monterey CA, 20-21 February 2013.The APEX workshop provides CHDS alumni with the opportunity to learn about and reflect on critical homeland security issues from different perspectives while re-engaging with classmates, professionals from other cohorts, and faculty.

Center of Analytical Excellence (CoAE) Meeting

Non-credit, online self-study courses, derived from the NPS CHDS Master’s degree curriculum, are available to homeland defense and security professionals who wish to enhance their understanding of key homeland security concepts and who require the flexibility of self-paced instruction.
